Fredrick M. LaPier

Fredrick M. “Butch” LaPier of Albertville, Alabama, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning. He was 82 years old.

Butch proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before working in the aerospace industry and later retiring from Mueller Company. He was a graduate of North Mississippi Community College.

A devoted Christian, he was a member and deacon of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Albertville. He also faithfully served with The Gideons International for many years.

Butch loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his yard, traveling, and making memories with those he loved. Disney World and Daytona Beach were among his favorite destinations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Eva A. LaPier; his brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Bill LaPier; and his sister, Ann LaPier.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Sisk LaPier; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jean LaPier; his daughter and son-in-law, Christa and Daniel Wilcox; his grandchildren, Logan (Phoebe) LaPier, Kayla (Greg) Duran, and Sawyer LaPier; his sister, Bobbi Leder; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Camla Reese.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2026 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church in Hazel Green. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Benny Berry and Steve Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Bevill’s Cemetery adjoining the church.
