Evelyn Diana Daughtry Swain Cobble Watson, age 72, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on January 26, 2026. Diana was born on August 8,1953, to the late James and Erma (Daughtry) Jones. She courageously battled COPD for 21 years.

Diana was a very creative as well as an entrepreneur by making and selling candles. She was an artist who loved to dance, bake beautiful cakes. She had a special love for flowers and had an excellent green thumb with the roses she grew. Family get togethers was time that brought her the most joy during which her grandchildren were especially spoiled. All holidays were times where she was able to be with family, but Christmas was her favorite holiday and time of year. Sinammon, her dog, was a constant companion and anyone who knew Diana, knew how much comfort and joy Sinammon gave to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace DeeAnn Cobble, and Trace Vickery; grandchildren Courtney Hopkins (Daniel), Amanda Vickery (Jesse), and Shane Waldrop (Kimi); six great-grandchildren; brothers Ronnie Pierce (Barbara) and Terry Swain; sisters Faye Davis, Gay Miller, Deanne Warden (Mark), Sandra Watson, and Kimberley Swain; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Cobble and Floyd Watson; her sisters, Pamela Brown and Carolyn Newmann; her step-father R.W. Swain, and her parents.

Visitation will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM  - 1::00 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 following the visitation.

After the service we will receive family & friends for dinner in her honor at The Madison County Commissioner-District 1, The County Shed, 9457 Moores Mill Rd., New Market, AL 35761

In lieu of flowers we welcome you to drop off dinner items, desserts, drinks at The County Shed from 12pm-2pm or plants & keepsakes are always welcome. There will be no graveside service at this time.
