Eric Shane Hepp

Eric Shane Hepp, fondly known as “Wiz,” age 60, of Toney, Alabama, passed away on July 27, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1965, in Melbourne, Florida, to the late Johnny and Kathleen (Egan) Hepp.

Shane spent much of his life in the Orlando area, where he was raised, before settling in Alabama. He had a deep love for motorcycles and lived life with a laid-back spirit that those who knew him will never forget. For seven years, he was a familiar face at Sherry’s Auction Barn, where he made lasting friendships and memories. He also spent several years driving for Barry’s Towing Service, a job he truly enjoyed. Never far from his side was a Dr. Pepper—his "sustenance of life" and a small but enduring part of his charm.

Known for his quick wit, Shane was often heard saying, “If you are all done, I am all done”—a phrase that captured his easygoing nature and brought a smile to those around him.

Shane is survived by his sons: Justin Hepp, Alex Hepp, and Austin Hepp; his grandson, Wyatt Hepp; and his fiancée, Sherry Thompson. He also leaves behind his stepdaughters: Ashley Cain, Haley Worthey, and Brooklyn Riggins; his brothers: John Hepp, Andy Hepp, and David Hepp; his sister, Nina Ferguson; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Shane was preceded in death by his grandmother Amelia Egan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
