Earlene Mills

Mrs. Earlene Mills of the Plevna community went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening peacefully from her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.

Earlene was a Christian and a member of Fellowship First Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and she loved her church family. She was a passionate Alabama football fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Mills. her great-grandson, Jacob Durham; her parents, Cecil & Gracie Walker; her brothers: Rodell Walker, Tommy Walker, Johnny Walker, and Larry Walker.

Surviving family members include her children: Bill & Donna Mills and Bobby & Jenni Mills; her grandchildren: Liz (Bryan) Durham, Aaron (Jessica) Mills, Jon Mills, Elaina Perkins, and Tucker Mills; her great-grandchildren: Rhett Durham, Maggie Durham, Gattis Mills, Cooper Mills, and Ellie Jane Mills. her sisters: Becky Gatlin, Ruth Schmidt, and Diane Morrow; her brother, Bucky Walker. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, many friends, and her church family.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Frazier officiating. Following the chapel service, burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Plevna. The family will begin receiving friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
