David Rex Javins

David Rex JavinsApril 27, 1943 ~ July 20, 2011Mr. David Rex Javins, 68, of New Market died Wednesday. Mr. Javins was a Vietnam Veteran and retired N.A.S.A. Aerospace Engineer. Survivors include his wife, Sue Javins; his children, Susan Javins Atchley, Tom and Lisa Javins, Mark Paul and Theresa Javins, Michael "Jabo" and Kristi Javins, Rex Angelle Javins; his sister, Betty Ledet; his brother, Sheldon Ledet; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many cherished nieces and nephews. Mr. Javins was preceded in death by his parents, Rexford Raymond and Gladys Ethel Javins. Visitation is Friday 5 to 8 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday 2 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Lon Ostryzcki officiating. Mr. Javins will lie in state one hour prior to time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
