Danny Herbert Childers

Danny Herbert Childers, 71, of Meridianville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.

Danny was a lifelong Alabama football fan. Above all else, he was a family man. He faced his illness with quiet courage and chose to spend his final days at home, wrapped in the love of his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Mr. Childers is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Debra Childers of Meridianville; his children, Brandon Childers (September) of New Market, Jamie Michelle Seals (Guy) of Union Hill, Alabama, and Tammy Lynn Childers of Hazel Green; his grandchildren, Adrian, Logan, Cody, Kayla, Travis, Daniel, Alicia, Ashley, Summer, Evan, and Edan; and his great-grandchildren, Parker, Reese, Theo, Kara, Brayden, Rome, Lily, and a baby boy due in June 2026. He is also survived by his mother, Hazel Childers; his brother, Michael Childers; his sisters, Karen Nobrega, Vicky Hawkins, and Patricia Bomar; his best friends, Nemo and Gracie; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Matthew Childers; and his brother, Randall Childers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his wife, Debra Childers, as she faces the loss of two incomes. Donations may be sent via Cash App to $DebraChilders6.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held at a later date.
