Mr. Craig Keith “Woody” Woodard of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 17,2025, while surrounded by his family. He was 66. Craig was a 1978 graduate of Hazel Green High School.

After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years and was a Desert Storm Veteran. After his military service he worked for the Madison County Water Department for 25 years before retiring.

Craig loved hunting, fishing, sports. He’s been a Dallas Cowboy fan since he was six years old and he loved his Alabama team. "Roll Tide Roll!" He loved working on cars; his, kids, grandkids, anyone that needed help. PaPa my car’s broke can you help me fix it, is what the grandkids would call and say. Craig loved to play pool and was a great coach, teacher, teammate and partner. Out of 20 years he never missed the breast cancer fund raiser. Craig never met a stranger, he made friends with everyone he met. If you had the privilege of meeting him you had a friend for life. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Wilma Evans Woodard; his father, James "Pete" Woodard; his brothers, Lee Woodard, Gene Woodard, Steve Woodard; his father-in-law, Dean Clutts and brother-in-law, Michael Clutts.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Betty Woodard, of 50 years (47 years of marriage). Mother-in-law: Louise Clutts; Daughters: Christina (David) Farmer, Lesley Woodard; sons: Shaun (Elisha) Woodard, William (Jazzy) Woodard; Brothers: Ty (Johnny) Woodard, John (Sherry) Woodard, and Ronny (Carla) Woodard; sisters-in-law, Sheryl Woodard, Debbie Woodard, Kim Woodard, Suzanne Woodard, Crystal (Scott) Seibert; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Clutts, Billy (Diane) Clutts; 21 grandchildren: Allison (Brandon), David, Chris, Michael (Raven), Emily, Amelia, Katie, Jada, Jasmine, Jordan (Tammy), Miranda, Alyssa, James, Marie, Natalie, CJ, Dakota, Remi’, and 1 on the way.

He has 10 great grandchildren: Aiden, Ryleigh, Jasmin, Destiny, Anna, Easton, Scarlett, Kinsley, Phoenix, Junior, and 2 on the way. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends from over the years.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:30pm until 8:30pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Brother Terry Sanders officiating. Craig will be honored with full military honors at the funeral home. Burial will then follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Morrison, Tennessee near Manchester.

Craig was so well-loved by so many. He will be dearly missed.
