Charlotte Marie McClain

Mrs. Charlotte Marie McClain of Toney, Alabama, passed away on October 15, 2026. She was 70.

Charlotte was a wonderful, loving mother who cared deeply for her family. She loved to travel. Her trips to Europe were filled with activities such as visiting castles, zoos, and amusement parks. She was a great cook and could often be found baking sweets with her family on snow days. She also enjoyed collecting crystal and Goebel figurines. She will be remembered for her love for others and her willingness to help whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McClain; her mother, Emma Wiley; her father, Walter Stratman; her brother, William "Sonny" Wiley; her sister, Doris Walls; and her cousins, Thomas and David Wiley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Christy, Lee, and Ian McClain; her sister-in-law, Mary Wiley; her nephews, Ken Wiley and Joe Wiley; and her nieces, Shuntele Dean (Scott), Starlene Byrum (Rickey), and Sonia Cothren (Richie). She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Following cremation, Mrs. McClain will be laid to rest beside her husband at Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
