Charles Thomas Peoples

Mr. Charles Thomas Peoples, of Toney, Alabama, passed away Thursday. He was 78.

Mr. Peoples was an accomplished go-kart builder and racer. He was an avid University of Alabama fan and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1970. He worked for Meadowgold Dairy for over 30 years. Most of all, he will be remembered for his loyalty and love for his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ailene and John Peoples; his siblings, Jackie Peoples, DonnaMae Birdsong, and Louise Jones; and his granddaughter, Kayla Brown.

Surviving family includes his wife, Minnie Peoples; Lori Peoples, Katina Brown, and Charlene Peoples (James Dixon); and his honorary son, Coty Hughes. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Doran Smith officiating.
