Caleb Thomas Bates, 24, of Flintville, Tennessee, passed away on September 18, 2025, at his residence in Flintville. He was born on July 8, 2001, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Stephen and Darla (Wilson) Bates.

Caleb was a kind soul, always considering the feelings of others and spreading warmth wherever he went. His passions included fishing, enjoying time with animals, and discovering new places to eat. He loved listening to music at full volume and immersing himself in video games. Caleb had a sharp eye for the stock market and an inventive spirit, spending time exploring the world of 3D printing. He also enjoyed painting and assembling various projects, always eager to create something new.

His family held a very special place in his heart, and he was a joy to everyone who knew him. Caleb is survived by his parents, Stephen and Darla Bates; his brother, Ethan Bates; his grandparents, Lowell and Elaine Bates, Bobby and Tina Tucker, and Tony Wilson; his aunt and uncles, Angela & Byron Zieke, Stephanie & Patrick Lane, Gwen & Mari Wilson; as well as his cousins, Shelby (Trey) Lyon, Gracie Wilson, Noah Wilson, Maddie Lane, Jonah Lane, Charlotte Lane, and Theo Lyon, along with many extended friends who will miss him dearly.

Caleb was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rufus & Geneva Steelman, Eules & Altha Thomas, Carl "Buck" Yell, Colie and Sara Franklin, Mary Lucille Wilson, and William Jasper Wilson, as well as his beloved dog, Bo.

The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Jeremy Ogle officiating. Interment will take place at Miller Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Fabulous Fifties Foundation at the Grace Fund, PO Box 934, Fayetteville, TN 37334, or to the Matt Williamson Memorial at Redstone Federal Credit Union.

Caleb will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
