Bobby Joe Maynard, of New Market, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Elora, Tennessee. Born on July 8, 1937, in Plevna, Alabama, Bobby was proud to call the New Market community his home for nearly his entire life.

Known for being a friend to everyone he met, Bobby was an early riser who enjoyed starting his day with breakfast and a fresh cup of coffee. He loved Nascar and spending time with his friends at Billy's in Hazel Green, and especially loved time with his family.

Bobby leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Marty (Trudy) Maynard of Hazel Green, AL, and daughter Darlene Britton of New Market, AL. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Crystal Swinford, Blake Britton, Matthew Tribble, Rickey Tribble, Ashlee Taylor, Kayla Maynard, Clint Maynard, Cason Parsons, and Kirsten Bias. Bobby's legacy continues through his twenty-one great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Beulah Mae "Doman" Mason and his brother, Selna Joe Maynard. A special thanks is owed to Evie Doud, a devoted family member and caregiver, who provided care for Bobby. Bobby's broader family includes several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends who will remember him fondly.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, the late Raymond and Myrtle Maynard, his beloved wife Nannie Ruth Maynard, and daughter Bobbie Lynn Marlow. He was also preceeded in death by his two grandchildren, Hailey and Heath Britton, along with siblings Levoyd Maynard, Marie Mason, Gracie Mason, and Joyce Jeans.
