Barbara Rupell

Barbara R. Rupell, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 17, 2026.

Bobbi was born on January 13, 1946, in Colorado to Joseph and Gladys Blecha. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the middle sister among her brothers Joseph, David, and Kerry, and baby sister April.

In 1967, she married the love of her life, Robert Rupell. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and devotion.

Bobbi’s passion was helping others feel confident and beautiful. She dedicated more than 30 years to her career with Clinique, where she shared her talent for makeup and skincare while mentoring and uplifting countless women. Her kindness, encouragement, and genuine care for others made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

After retiring, Bobbi enjoyed spending time near family, living in Florida and North Carolina before finally settling in Hazel Green, Alabama. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, generosity, and just the right touch of sass that made her unforgettable.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gladys Blecha; her brother, Joseph Blecha; and her beloved grandson, Trevor Zastrow.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Rupell; her daughter, Laura Zastrow (Todd); her stepchildren, Lisa McKenzie (Ken) and Christopher Rupell (Trish); her brothers, David Blecha and Kerry Blecha (Rebecca); and her sister, April Mortensen. Her legacy of love continues through her grandson, Tanner Zastrow (Ashley), and her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Layne, and Landon Zastrow.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives forever changed by her love and kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
