Barbara Mullins Paseur

Barbara Lucille Mullins Paseur peacefully passed from these earthly chains to her heavenly home on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026. She suffered from dementia and was bed bound for the last years of her life. She was born to Harry and Carrie Mae Mullins of Huntsville, AL on March 3, 1933. 

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ellie Hugh Paseur and children Angela Smith (Dwight, grandaughters Molly, Jodi, Kacey & Ellie), Stanley Paseur (Karen, grandsons Eli and Alex) and Andre’ Paseur (Lila, grandsons Caleb and Adam) and two great granddaughters, as well her brother, Billy Mullins and sister, Peggy Neece.

Her parents as well as her sisters, Mildred Camper and Jeanette Hall, have gone on to glory.

Barbara was an active and lifelong member of Flint River Baptist Church (1st Flint River Baptist Church) where she enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and GA’s. As well as being a wonderful and loving mother to her three children, she worked 40 years at Redstone Arsenal and NASA. It was the beginning era of space exploration. She would take her children to watch rocket launches and wake them up at night to go outside and watch Skylab pass thru the heavens. It was pre-Star Wars cool, real life history in the making and exciting for all of us. Such a contrast to the life she knew growing up and picking cotton. She could never have imagined then she would be working for a German scientist who had escaped to this country from Germany during WWII with Werner Von Braun.

She had a big heart for those less fortunate, strongly held outspoken opinions, loved puzzles, games, music and dancing. Especially dancing…square dancing, ballroom dancing, swing dancing, Texas two step, line dancing; she’s pretty much done them all with E.H., her forever partner. She was the perfect help mate to her husband as they worked together to provide and raise a family. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and was ever their exhorter and encourager.

Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She trusted Him completely and lived to please Him.

Her life and homegoing will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 24 at First Flint River Baptist Church with visitation from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Services and interment will follow beginning at 12:30pm at the church.
