Ava Nell (Brock) Stafford

SUFFOLK - Ava Nell Stafford, 84, died September 17, 2022.  A native of Hazel Green, Alabama, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wade Stafford; son, Barry Wade Stafford; three siblings, Betty K. Brock Lee, T. Maxcell Brock and Dorothy Brock Baker; and brother-in-law, Norman Hochberger.  Ava enjoyed crafting.

She is survived by two daughters, Joy Sawyer and husband Jason and Anita Bryant and husband Calvin "Buddy"; five siblings, Angelen Brock Hochberger, Judy Brock Davis and husband Ray, Roger Brock and wife Patsy, Larry Brock and wife Kathy, and Rebecca Brock Drum and husband Gordon; sister-in-law, Roberta Brock; five grandchildren, Holly Hamilton Monaco (Joe), Cory Hamilton (Patricia), Joey Hamilton (Taylor), Jessica Bryant Wilson, and Jenna Bryant (Johnnie); and ten great-grandchildren, Mia Monaco, William Monaco, Landon Hamilton, Hunter Hamilton, Hailey Hamilton, Chase Hamilton, Annabelle Hamilton, Alyssa Wilson, June Wilson and Ava Raulersons.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, at 1 PM at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.  www.SturtevantFH.com
