Mr. Anthony Wynn "Tony" Sanders of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Friday while surrounded by his loving family. He was 70. Mr. Sanders was a Christian and had been part of Shady Grove Methodist Church for his entire life. He faithfully served his church and community as caretaker of Shady Grove Cemetery for 30 years.

Tony was a passionate University of Tennessee football fan, he loved fishing and NASCAR, and was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. He dearly loved his family and being together with them.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Gracie Sanders; his parents, Benny & Billie Rose Sanders.

Surviving family members include his children, Angela (Mike), Jennifer, Jeremy (April), Zeb (Morgan), Teresa (Shane), and Carmella (Rick); his 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Linda, Jackie, Sharon, and Marie;

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Claunch and Betsye Fowler Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at noon. After the service, Mr. Sanders will be laid to rest in Shady Grove Cemetery in Toney.
