Annette Underwood

Mrs. Annette Underwood of Hazel Green, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Friday. She was 79.

She was a faithful Christian and a part of the Toney Free Holiness Church. She was a devoted minister's wife and had served along side her late husband, Rev. Kenneth Underwood, who was pastor of Elkwood Holiness Church. She loved the Lord and her family and will be remembered for being an awesome mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Underwood; her sons, William Kenneth "Ken" Underwood Jr. and Jeffery Frank "Jeff" Underwood; her parents, Frank & Annie Mae Whitt; her brother, Frankie Whitt; her sister, Kathy Walsh.

Surviving family members include her sons, Don Underwood (Kim) and Brian Underwood; her grandchildren: Halley Caldwell, Jeffery Underwood, Lyndon Underwood, Dylon Underwood, Kaleb Underwood, and Kelsey Underwood; She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and by her sister, Brenda Smith (Wayne), and her brother, Danny Whitt (Sandra).

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 4pm until 8pm at Toney Holiness Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the church with Pastor Rodney Underwood and State Representative Andy Whitt officiating. Burial will then be in Underwood Cemetery in New Market.
