Andrew “Drew” Shawn Parris, born June 17, 2002, in Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Drew, a graduate of Hazel Green High School, enjoyed school and liked being around people. He especially enjoyed it when others got in trouble and he loved singing “E-I-E-I-O” from Old MacDonald. Drew was known for always having a smile and for wanting to be involved in whatever was going on. He never met a stranger and loved people.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved ice cream, and liked going places with his dad. Drew also enjoyed doing races with his dad in earlier years. Being included and spending time with family were important to him.

Drew is survived by his parents, Shawn and Janet Parris, and his sister, Cali Parris.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Alice Parris, Frank House, and his aunts, Brenda Bigbe and Donna House. He is also survived by his grandmother, Faye House.

Additional survivors include his aunts and uncles: Terry and Karen House, Linda Saylor, Eric and Shanna Parris, Todd and Tina Flowers, and Jeremy and Darcy Parris; and his cousins: Ben and Mary House, Michael House and family, Christina and Gideon Abror and family, David and Myah House and family, Grey and Sarah Saylor, Craig and Elizabeth Saylor and family, Josh and Angel Clemons, Aaron Parris, Alainna and Patrick Chappell, Daniel Flowers, Noah Parris, and Jacob Parris.

He is also survived by special friends Allen and Tracy Kimbrough and Chris and Joanna Lindberg.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends an hour before the service. Burial will follow and will be in Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green.

Drew will be remembered for his friendly nature, his smile, and his desire to be part of everything going on around him while loving life.
