Mrs. Amy Katherine Canup of Huntsville, Alabama, went to be with the lord on Monday. She was 55.
Survivng family includes her husband David Canup; her parents Jim and Karen Hogan; her siblings Jacob Hogan (Jasmine) and Jessica Jones; her mother and father-in-law Carrel and Virginia Canup; and her brothers-in-law Michael (Shannon) and Steven (Leslie) Canup.
Amy was a beautiful soul who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a true prayer warrior—if you needed someone to stand in the gap and lift you up in prayer, Amy was always there.
She deeply loved her family and friends, and her greatest passion was her students. Amy devoted her life to nurturing, guiding, and inspiring them, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Later in life, she was blessed when God brought Dave into her world—the love of her life. Their love was evident to all who knew them. Dave cherished Amy and treated her like a queen, and she adored him in return.
Amy’s kindness, faith, and unwavering love will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was a charter member of Bethlehem Christian Academy and an educator for 30 years.
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25, from 1p.m. until 3p.m at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki and Pastor Steve Farrow officiating.
