Alysha Brooke Travis

Alysha Brooke Travis, 26, of Toney, Alabama, passed away on December 7, 2025, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama. She was born on June 22, 1999, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Mark and Kimberly (Cooper) Travis.

Alysha was a wonderful daughter, sister, and friend. Beyond her immediate family, her pets held a very special place in her heart—she loved them as her children. She enjoyed reading and painting and found great calling through her work as a registered nurse. Alysha was proud to be a homeowner, having recently built her own home. She had recently found and met her soulmate. Alysha loved her family deeply and enjoyed every opportunity to spend as much time as possible with them. She also had some very special and treasured friendships that were deeply held great purpose and support for her over the years. Alysha would enjoyed a package of Reese’s cups, and was affectionately known as “sassy” by those closest to her.

Alysha is survived by her parents, Mark and Kimberly Travis; sisters, Piper Lauryn Travis, Christy (Channing) Lynn Grisham; her significant other, Mike Twilliger; grandmother, Marsha Cooper; aunts, Amy Sharpe (David) and Brandy Adams (Scott); niece, Alexis Love; cousins, Nicolas, Tanner, Justin, Austin, Chloe, and Claire; as well as numerous extended family members and dear lifelong friends, including Ebonni Loper, Thomas Nicolella and Emily Nally

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford Travis, Catherine Whisenant Travis, and Robert Cooper.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Scotty Travis officiating. Interment will be at Charity Cemetery.
