Alfred Douglas Simmons passed away peacefully with his loving family of caretakers by his side at South Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1952-1956.
He was preceded in death by father: Luid Douglas Simmons; mother: Margaret Cleveland (Wright) Simmons; Brothers: Wilbur Simmons, Jackie Simmons, Dean Simmons; Sisters: Selva Simmons and Margaret Simmons Cornwell; wife: Mildred Yvonne Stone Simmons.
He is survived by: sisters: Ann (Neal) Forshee, Faye (Ronald) Gross and Becky White; Sons: Kin Simmons, Ward (Bridget) Simmons, Allen (Angie) Simmons, Gary (Heather) Simmons; Daughters: Ramona (Joseph) Howard, Tossa (Malvin Simmons Ramon, and Nikka (Bobby) Shaneyfelt; Step Children: Vickie (Keith) Osborne, Brenda (Frank) Norman, William "Rocky" (Pam) Stone, Cortressia "Tret" (Hulen) West, Winston (Tania) Shurtleff, Wayne (Kathy) Davis, Delmon Davis, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
