Scotty Birdsong
January 30, 1960 — August 19, 2015
Scotty Birdsong, 55, of New Market, passed away on Wednesday. Mr. Birdsong was a veteran of the United States Navy and an avid Alabama football fan, but his passion was deer hunting and spending time with friends and family at the hunting cabin. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbie Birdsong; His daughter, Lauren Brooks; His son, David Birdsong; His father, Larry Birdsong; His mother, Myrovia Birdsong; His sister, Leigh Ann Birdsong; His brother, Brandon Scott Birdsong; His grandchildren: Caden Blake Brooks and Ryder Scott Birdsong.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 7pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
