Thomas Tingle Obituary

Thomas Theodore Tingle, 86, passed away at his home in Huntsville on Thursday, June 7. He was born on October 13, 1931, in Haleyville, AL, and was the son of the late James Daniel Tingle and Ethel Marie Sutherland Tingle.  

He was raised in Philadelphia, PA and attended an all-boys private school in New Jersey. He was an athlete in several sports, played professional baseball, served in the U.S. Army, and loved BAMA football. He loved to play the piano and enjoyed classical music from Mozart and Chopin. He also loved history, learning about his ancestry, travelling, watching historic movies, and spending time with his family and friends.  

After moving to Huntsville in 1972, he was a Dental Lab Technician and Manager/Owner for more than 45 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna Jean Murphy Tingle; one son, Thomas Roy Tingle, and his wife, Jennifer Lynn Tingle, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Laura Kaye Hartman, of Huntsville; two grandsons, Micheal Thomas Hartman and Brandon Austin Tingle, both of Huntsville; one granddaughter, Carlie Jeanae Tingle, of Huntsville, and a host of close family members and lifetime friends across the country.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced in the coming weeks.
