Melody was originally from Iowa and traveled the USA settling in Huntsville 30 years ago. Marrying Bruce Mccoy, they acquired some land in Coldwater TN and built a home together which brought her much joy.  Melody loved nature. This land gave her room to house her many rescues, dogs, cats, and chickens, really any animals in need. She loved to watch the deer, wild turkeys, birds and other wildlife that roamed their land. She gardened and tended a variety of herbs.  Her flower beds bloomed with colorful fragrant flowers.

Melody worked at Tom Jeffreys sign and banner company. She used her talent in photo shop and her artistic eye to create beautiful memories for many.  Her family also enjoyed her homemade banners when they gathered on special occasions!  She made events fun!

An avid animal lover, Melody spent countless hours at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter in conjunction with The Humane Society of Lincoln County.  She spent time creating flyers for animal adoption and organizing fundraisers that support the shelter. Her duties included bookkeeping, organizing and pouring out her love to all the beautiful creatures that found their way to the shelter.  She had a special place in her heart for all animals.

Thanks to all that supported Melody, before, during, and throughout her illness.  She loved the texts, emails,  jokes, and encouragement sent to her.  She loved you all and appreciated everything anyone did for her (although she was a very independent woman).

We would like to extend special thanks to Denise Isbell, and Cindy Kite. Denise - for all you did and do, too many things to list but especially for taking special care of Chewy when it was needed the most. Cindy for the tender care and compassion shown to Melody, snacks, flowers and company.
Kenneth Atchley and wife Marsha, long time friends, bringer of delicious soup and comforting company.  Also special thanks to Kiana Kozin for the special bracelets made (hope, strength, love) and a photo book of memories. She treasured them.  And to Her Sisters Penny and Diana...who brought joy and laughter into her world from day one!  She loved you both most of all.
