Glenda (Sherer) Eads

Mrs. Glenda Eads, 76, of Hazel Green, Alabama went Home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, September 1, 2017.  She was at home and surrounded by family.  Mrs. Eads was a member of Hazel Green First Baptist Church.

She grew up in Carbon Hill, Alabama, and graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1959.  While in high school, she met and married Frank Eads, while they were the tender ages of 17 and 18.  Together they raised four children, and shared lots of love and laughter over the years. They were married 46 years until his death in 2005.  She was a homemaker and always put her family first.  She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a sweet sister.  She loved God and her family and steered her children toward Him, raising them in church. 

She had many friends in Carbon Hill, Alabama, Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Hazel Green, Alabama.  She always had a smile for them and enjoyed their fellowship.  She liked to travel, to read, and to cook delicious meals for her family.  She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eads; her sister, Annette Mann; and her parents Ralph and Hazel Sherer.

She is survived by her children, Bobby (Susie) Eads of Hazel Green, Bonita (Keith) Norris of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Beverly Randolph of Hazel Green, and Brad Eads of Hazel Green;  her grandchildren, Nathan Eads, Kelsey (Austin) Weathers, Lannie Randolph, Lindsey Randolph, Sarah (Matt) Hutcheson, Trent Norris; great-granddaughter McKenzie Hutcheson. She is also survived by one brother, Neil (Sandy) Sherer of Carbon Hill, Alabama.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2pm until 4pm at the First Baptist Church of Hazel Green.  Funeral services will follow at 4pm with Pastor Bobby Eads and Pastor Brad Williams officiating.

On Monday, the family will receive friends from 10am until 11am at the First Baptist Church of Carbon Hill.   A graveside service will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Carbon Hill.
