Funeral services for Mr. Collins “Tooter” Hunter, 87, of Hazel Green will be conducted Friday at 10 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harold Fanning officiating. Burial will be at Stateline Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Hunter passed away Monday at his residence.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelene McGuinness Hunter; His parents, Elvie & Bertha Spray Hunter; His brothers: Cecil, Homer, Billy, Albert, and Willard Hunter, and by his sister, Evelyn “Josie” Layne.
He is survived by one daughter, Debbie and Marty Smith, one son, Randy and Sherry Hunter, one grandson, Colby and Chesley Smith, one granddaughter, Jessica Hunter, one great granddaughter, Harper Grace Smith, three sisters, Gwen Potter, Pauline Campbell and Linda Sibley, several nieces and nephews and a host of loving family members and friends. Mr. Hunter was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.
Visitation will be Thursday evening 5-8PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
