Christi "Candy" Fowler, 43, of Hazel Green, passed away on Wednesday.
Christi grew up in Abingdon, Virginia and was a graduate of Battle Creek High School in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a member of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America and enjoyed clowning with her husband as a Shriner clown. She was also active in Relay for Life and was a strong advocate for melanoma research.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Hoskins; By her grandmother, Peggy Tate; and by her uncle, Tommy Tate.
Surviving family members include her husband, Will "Cotton" Fowler; Her five children: Shelby Rae Tate, Brian Fowler, Allison Fowler, Leslie Fowler, and Emily Fowler; Two brothers, Jack Foster and Michael Foster; Her cousin, Ashley Tate. She is also survived by her best friends, April Hummel and Dina Janicki.
The family is planning a Celebration of Christi's life at the Cahaba Shrine Temple and the details will be announced by Hazel Green Funeral Home.
