I met Anthony about 19 years ago at Griner's. He was reaching for coffee creamer above his head level - he was in his wheelchair. I told him I knew what it is to be in one, since I'd just completed physical therapy and got out of mine. We talked several times and I ended up working for him at Bug Buster's, driving him to meet customers, worked in the office, and later, after the MD advanced, helped him at home. He loved his Great Danes, chickens, which he got from all over the country - Col. Mustard, Ike, Rainbow and the Bertha Butt Sisters provided lots of interesting times. He loved his flowers, the hummingbirds that visited him, and his 4th of July BBQ cookouts, with fireworks and blackberry cobbler.
He was always upbeat, positive and lived his own slogan, "Life is Good." He is missed, but he is home now with his Mom and Dad...somewhere up there are 2 big ol' Danes named Angel and Taz.

Our prayers are with you all as you say "goodbye" and "hello" to Anthony as he has now left his earthly home and arrived in his forever home...where he can do whatever he wants to - fish, plant his mums, take pictures, etc. His attitude has always been so positive and encouraging. When he said "Life is good" repeatedly, I was thinking....."and heaven is even better." I'm hoping he will get to have his BBQ and blackberry cobbler tomorrow. He certainly deserves the rest. God bless you all. He is missed.
