It's so hard to be sitting here so many miles away and know your funeral is going to be starting in an hour and I can't be there. I'm your Daddy. I should be there but my health won't allow it. That probably sounds ridiculous to a lot of folks. Imagine how it sounds to me when my body tells me I'm not going somewhere or I'm not going to do something I really want to do. Being there with you, my baby girl, is what I really want to do. You knew that and you told me you understood cause your body wouldn't allow you to be with me either. We understood each other. We loved each other unconditionally. We didn't have secrets. You told me things you'd never tell anyone else and I'll carry those things to my grave. We were closer than some families are that live right across the street from each other. I told you of my regrets and we talked about how the past can't be changed. We talked and shared forgiveness. We talked about getting together an catching up. I'll never forget when you told me you have cancer. My stomach and my heart hit the floor. I asked God to let us change places. I've lived my life and my body has just about run it's course. You had so much to live for. I asked God to heal you and He assured me he would but God had finished a beautiful new home for you and He just couldn't wait for you to see it and move in. I can't blame him for that. I know I'm rambling honey but I know this will probably be the last time I'll be able to share this with you. I know you're dancing and laughing and singing to Katy. She's waited 15 years for you to come home. Tell her Papa Robert still loves her and I'll be along directly. I love you to the moon and back baby girl.

I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through right now since the moment you were notified of Amy’s diagnosis. We can honor her by not giving up when times are tough, by pulling a little harder, being a little kinder, and remembering her inspiring values and the way she lived her life.
You have a lot to be proud of in your beautiful daughter. Amanda was not only a good mother and caring friend, she was a hard worker. She fulfilled the hopes and dreams you had for her when she was born in full measure and then some. It can be said of Amy, “The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.”
There are all kinds of people in this world. Your daughter was one of the best. Memories of happy moments, shared jokes, the ebb and flow of family life--how do we go on like that without the one we love? It is in the little, everyday things that your daughter will be sorely missed, each time your family does what she would have done, her legacy will stand. No one can take her place. Many people have Amy’s kindnesses tucked away in their hearts.
Love from the most important people in our lives helps us meet the challenges of being human. Your daughter’s wisdom, gained by her experiences and her courage, has been shared with you to continue working with as long as you live. She has left you a lot to build on. Within her family, especially with her children, Amy knew what really mattered: connecting, accepting, remembering and loving. Amy’s strengths and goodness will stay with you forever. You have my deepest sympathy on the immeasurable loss of your amazing daughter.
Amanda “Amy” Jones Boyett
You were born a child of light's wonderful secret— you return to the beauty you have always been.

I am sorry for your loss. I never met Amy in person but developed a friendship with her over the years through facebook. I remember getting an adorable crochet olaf from her one time. I hope you will be able to find peace in the turmoil of her passing. My heart breaks for her young daughters, I just lost my mom at 46 years old and I can only imagine how it feels to lose your mom at such young ages. Prayers for you all.

My heart and prayers are with her family and friends. I had the pleasure of hearing Amy sing and I was spell bound. I could of set for hours just to hear her sing. I am saddened that such a good person with such a Godly talent was taken from us; but I know she will be sing on that heavenly band of angels for sure.
