Shirley Yell Day, 74, of Hazel Green, passed away on Wednesday.
She was a 1958 graduate of Hazel Green High School and had a career as a bookkeeper with several different companies in the Huntsville/Madison area. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Day; Her parents: Clarence and Effie Yell; Her two brothers: Wallace and J.T. Yell; Her sisters: Prudence Gregory and Gertrude Weeks.
She is survived by her son, Phillip (Carol Neal & her son, Ricky Neal) Day; Her daughter, Cindy (Tim) Milam; 2 grandsons: Jordan and Joshua Milam; Her sister: Jennie Buffington; Her special friend, Janel Stafford. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with other friends and family.
At Mrs. Day's request, there will not be a public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital; www.stjude.org
