Dear family,
I am so sorry that I am just now learning of Mr. Norton’s home going to be with our Lord. I cannot express with words what a blessing and inspiration Mr. Orea Norton was to me as an older child! He directed our R.A. program, took us camping, led us in Bible studies. He taught me to play the guitar and I sat mesmerized as he picked and sang all the Hank Williams Sr. songs. I used to wonder why he was not in Nashville, TN at the Grand Ole Opry! He brought so much joy to me and really influenced me as a young Christian. I cannot imagine how much y’all miss Mr. Norton and I apologize for not staying in closer touch. I did get to speak with him on the phone several years back about 12 years ago. It was amazing how his voice still sounded the same after so many years! From the photo on his obituary his obviously did not age much at all, still youthful! Can you imagine his activities now, in the presence of our Lord. Mrs. Kim and Brother Al (y’all are the only ones I knew back then when y’all lived in Woolmarket, the other children had not yet come along) you do have my deepest sympathy and shall remain in my prayers.
God bless,
Mike Moore

I just found this today, so it is probably too late to post:
Al was a unique man, a good man and a good friend. It was a blessing to know him.

My prayers and much love are with you, Sis, and with all the Family. Orea was a devoted man who loved God and his family...and he had sweet, sweet music in his soul. So sorry I can't be there on Sunday, but I 'm preaching 3 services. I'll plan a trip soon. Love you, Sister. Cherie
